Back to Blogging

I checked my blog today and I can't belive how long since I last posted. Sure I have a lot of legitimate excuses (the least of which is my computer crashing) but it's a new year and I am ready to get back into blogging. I guess I better start by recapping the last month and a half.
Thanksgiving:
Well, Tim wanted to get tickets to the annual Lion's thanksgiving football game, but unfortunaly we were unable to obtain tickets to that embarassing loss. (by the way congrats to the Lions on their record breaking season) So we settled for a cozy little feast for three (really only two since Kennedy doesn't have much of an appetite for Turkey yet).
I made Grandma's famous twisty rolls and lots of pumpkin pies. Tim was the bird master and cooked our 18 lb bird to perfection. You may be asking why we needed a 18 lb turkey if there was only two of us. Well, we did not need a 18lb bird to be quite frank, but the scheming poultry salesmen at the grocery stores make it cheaper to buy a giant bird than a small turkey breast. Oh well. Yea for leftovers!
After our meal we just relaxed the whole weekend, watching movies and decorating for Christmas. Tim would like to not that he did drag me to the day-after-thanksgiving-sales at 4 am. I ask "Was it worth it?"

  2. That is true Tim likes to go go go. Expescially in the middle of the night with our Settlers of Catan battles. The turkey looked like it was almost as big as Kennedy. Maybe you'll still have some frozen when Kennedy gets old ehough to eat it.
